Me, me, me.

Me, me, me.

There's something fundamental about blogging that I've always kind of struggled with. It's a tiny word. The smallest one there is.

I.

When you blog, you tend to write about yourself a lot. I feel this, I want this, I did this.

It feels kind of uncomfortable to talk about myself all the time. Even if I'm not saying particularly self-congratulatory things, it still feels narcissistic. I hope it doesn't read that way.

I'm not sure there's an easy way around it. I can hardly write about what you're thinking or feeling, because I really have no clue.

I think that's also why I wanted to start including more of my fiction on here. So I can share something I've written with you, but it's not all me, me, me.

And there's another reason too; I'm fiercely private. I'm really not much of a natural at sharing myself or my life on the internet. It's really quite a strange thing to do.

It's immensely cathartic though, to just let all the words come tumbling out and arrange themselves like a jigsaw on the page. Plus, I'm so nosy. People fascinate me, so I love reading their posts all about what they've been doing and thinking and feeling.

So maybe I'll just suck it up and learn to love talking about myself. If that's ok with you, that is.

If you're a blogger, do you feel like this too? If you're a reader, do you get sick of people always writing about themselves? I'd love to know.
